Presbyterian Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) Sandema is a non-governmental organization working to improve the lives of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) within the Upper East Region of Ghana. We aim to provide inclusive development to Persons with Disabilities by mainstreaming disability issues into development initiatives, and by changing the perception of disability within our operational area. Our work spreads across the four political administrative districts of Bulsa North, Bulsa South, Kassena Nankana East, and Kassena Nankana West.

The Presbyterian Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) program based out of Sandema, Upper East Region, Ghana is focused on improving the lives of people with disabilities living across the Districts of Builsa North, Builsa South, Kassena Nankana West, and Kassena Nankana East in the Upper East Region of Ghana. We use the WHO’s Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) model to deliver inclusive development practices that reduce poverty and change the perception of disability within our operational area.
The program seeks to achieve realistic objectives and workable activities in line with the key components/guidelines of the Community Based Rehabilitation model: health intervention, educational intervention, livelihood development, social intervention, as well as advocacy and empowerment.
